Boyden Names Leader of Cross-Sector Global CEO and Board Services Practice
April 15, 2019 – Boyden has named Roger T. Duguay, managing partner of the Montréal office, as leader of its cross-sector global CEO and board services practice. He succeeds Tom Flannery, who will continue as managing partner of the firm’s Pittsburgh office and as the North American leader of the CEO and board services practice. Mr. Duguay will continue as a managing partner and board member of Boyden Canada.
“Roger has played a key role in establishing Boyden as a premier search firm in Canada and his leadership has further influenced our global growth,” said Trina Gordon, president and CEO. “Roger’s creative approach to senior executive talent advisory, together with his client management expertise and dedication to our ‘Worldwise’ mission make him the ideal leader to head our global CEO and board services practice.”
“As part of our succession plan, we carefully selected the right managing partner to lead our practice for the next generation,” said Mr. Flannery. “Roger brings considerable expertise to further expand the practice with the full confidence of our global partners as a top advisor to the fastest-growing organizations in the world.”
Mr. Duguay, who has more than 25 years of experience in management, human capital, executive recruiting and talent development, works closely with CEOs, C-level executives and board members of organizations in both the private and public sectors. He founded Boyden’s Montréal office and leads the firm’s Quebec operations. Over the course of his career in executive search, Mr. Duguay has been involved in over 100 CEO and board placements. He is also a certified corporate director (ICD.D) with extensive board experience. Mr. Duguay currently serves on several boards, including one of the most forward-thinking business events in the world, C2 Montréal, and is chairman of the board of LOGIQ.
“The revolutionary advances in most industries make it essential for organizations to acquire innovative leadership, leaders who transform with passion and vision, those who architect strategy with a holistic approach,” said Mr. Duguay. “This is an opportunity to redefine our approach on a global scale as we continue to connect our clients with leaders that will deliver in an era of disruption.”
