PRAXI Alliance Adds New Office in Oslo

April 15, 2019 – Global executive search consortium PRAXI Alliance Worldwide Executive Search recently added a new office in Oslo, Norway. The PRAXI Alliance global network now spans four continents, with more than 30 countries and 70 offices worldwide.

Lasse Berner and Rune Repstad, partners of PRAXI member firm Academic Search International, will manage the location. The consortium said that it will be combining their recruitment and international business expertise with the strong brand that Academic Search International has built in Sweden over more than two decades. Based in Stockholm and with offices in Malm and Gothenburg, Academic Search International partners with consumer goods, retail and industrial clients across Sweden.

“Academic Search International has built a reputation for excellence in Sweden,” said Fabio Sola, network director at PRAXI. “We’re confident in their abilities to do the same in Norway.”

Norwegian Market

“Norway is a key market in Northern Europe and several IMSA clients will strongly benefit from this new partnership,” Ms. Carbonari said. “This new cooperation is an important step towards IMSA constant process of international development.”

Today, Norway is the second wealthiest country in the world in monetary value, with the largest capital reserve per capita of any nation. It has a mixed economy, a prosperous capitalist welfare state and social democracy featuring a combination of free market activity and large state ownership in certain key sectors.

Norway has significant ownership positions in key industrial sectors, such as the strategic petroleum (Statoil), hydroelectric energy production (Statkraft), aluminum production (Norsk Hydro), the largest Norwegian bank (DNB), and telecommunication provider (Telenor). Through these companies the government controls about 30 percent of the stock values at the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Continued Expansion

PRAXI has seen global growth over the past 12 months. Just recently, it added Duman Management Consultancy in Turkey as a member firm. Established by Yigit Duman in 2014, the firm is headquartered in Istanbul and has a strong focus on organizational development and leadership consulting. The Duman team includes 10 consultants with generalist backgrounds and particular strengths in the industrial, consumer goods, logistics and facilities sectors to serve large international organizations as well as small to mid-sized Turkish firms.

The consortium also recently added HRS Advisors in Finland as a member firm. HRS Advisors, established in 2012, is based in Espoo (Helsinki), with offices in Tampere and Turku. Leveraging their longtime experience in recruitment and management, Toni Koskinen, Tarja Kohtamäki and Pia Paavilainen, have developed HRS Advisors into a team of qualified experts in executive search, specialist recruitment and HR consulting. The firm operates in more than 80 industries serving both Finnish and international clients.

In addition, it added Paris-based executive search firm FSC Group to its fold. After almost 30 years, FSC Group has developed a strong reputation in the French executive recruitment market and abroad through FSC Executive Search. President Guillaume Vital and his team work across sectors, serving a broad client base on HR-related services and innovative digital solutions via their joint venture, AdMyJob. FSC Group includes the following divisions: FSC Executive SearchHR Signature (middle management, key specialists, talent pipeline), Monceau Carrieres (outplacement, coaching, training) and Downstream (HR consulting).
