Nolan Partners Expands Into North America

July 20, 2016 – London-headquartered executive search firm Nolan Partners has expanded its operations to North America with the opening of offices in Los Angeles and New York and the appointment of Chad Biagini as managing director of North America.

Founded in 2006, Nolan Partners is focused wholly and exclusively on working with clients in sports and related sectors. The firm has completed more than 250 senior executive placements across 16 different sports, including NFL, NBA, swimming, tennis, Formula 1, cricket, rugby, and football / soccer.

Mr. Biagini brings over 10 years of experience in executive search representing a range of sports clients including Ultimate Fighting Championship, WWE, Special Olympics, and teams across Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, and the NFL. Throughout his career in search, he has placed more than 200 senior executives in other industries, including consumer products, financial services, technology, private equity, hospitality, non-profit, media & entertainment.

Most recently, Mr. Biagini served as a managing director at Harvard Group International. Before that he gained executive search experience with Relaunch Corporation and FSA Inc.

Nolan Partners plans to add consultants and researchers in the coming months to its new U.S. locations.

“The sports industry is global, with two of the largest commercial markets being the U.K. and U.S. Opening offices in Los Angeles and New York City allows us to better serve our clients and further cements our position as leaders of executive search in the global sports industry,” said Paul Nolan, group managing director. “We’ve received an increasing number of requests from clients to see a global candidate pool, and our own portfolio has been expanding on both sides of the pond.”

In the last month alone, he added, “we’ve completed placements for one of the top five football / soccer clubs in the world for positions in South America, U.S., West Africa, Spain, Italy, Holland, Scandinavia, Belgium, Portugal and Japan.”

“I’ve always admired Nolan Partners’ reputation and success around the world in the industries of sports and entertainment. Its partners complete more searches every year than any other sports-dedicated executive search firm,” said Mr. Biagini. “Nolan Partners is niche, established for, and specializing in, this sector. It’s not a generalist firm where sports is just a small, flashy badge on the lapel, and whose consultants split their time across several other industries. That was important to me. Sports and entertainment is what we do all day, every day. Even more compelling to me was the number of clients who have been partners of the firm for five to 10 years. I’m honored to join the leading firm in this sector.”

A growing cadre of recruiting firms have opened new offices in the U.S. recently. Here is a look at a just few taken from the Hunt Scanlon Media newswire archives:
