Managing partner Rachel Gauthier and Mallory Schmidt, senior search consultant, led the assignment. Mr. Martin brings over two decades of invaluable healthcare experience, a proven track record in leadership, and a commitment to driving excellence in healthcare services. Mr. Martin’s professional journey is marked by his proven leadership in the healthcare industry. He previously served as the CEO of HME Specialists, LLC, New Mexico’s largest independent Durable Medical Equipment (DME) healthcare provider and one of the largest providers in the Southwest. In this role, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, overseeing 475 employees and fourteen branch locations across three states, ensuring operational excellence.
During his tenure at HME Specialists, Mr. Martin built a senior leadership team consisting of key executives responsible for various aspects of the organization. This collaborative approach ensured a comprehensive strategy for addressing the organization’s goals and challenges. His expertise extends beyond day-to-day operations. He actively engaged in board discussions, quarterly meetings, and senior debt lending discussions and oversaw M&A and PE-related activities. Mr. Martin’s strategic vision and financial acumen significantly contributed to HME Specialists’ growth and success.

Behavioral Health Solutions offers comprehensive behavioral health services including psychotherapy, psychiatric care, and medication management, and Suboxone treatment. The Tolan Group (TTG) recently placed Mark Attarian as the new CFO of Pharmalogic Holdings Inc. Tim Tolan is founder, chairman, and managing partner of the firm. He is an experienced healthcare executive leading a healthcare-centric executive search and contract staffing firm serving healthcare services, healthcare tech, long-term care, and behavioral health. Mr. Tolan has multiple decades of experience in both privately held and publicly traded companies in a variety of leadership roles. He has deep PE expertise in placing executive leadership into portfolio companies across the healthcare sector.
Ms. Gauthier is vice president and practice leader for the healthcare software and services market and health plan and payer market. As a search consultant she partners with executives and hiring managers to find C-suite executives, EVPs, SVPs, VPs and sales, marketing and product management candidates. Ms. Gauthier has also placed entire leadership teams for early stage companies.
Ms. Schmidt joined The Tolan Group in 2021 as a project manager. She was named a senior search consultant in January. Before joining The Tolan Group, Ms. Schmidt spent seven years in various positions with Northwestern Mutual.
