Shelley Semmler

Shelley Semmler, Senior Consultant, has 30 years of experience in the field of Advancement, including five years consulting with a wide-range of nonprofit institutions and organizations.

As Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Ithaca College, she led the offices of development, alumni relations and marketing communications and completed the College’s first comprehensive campaign. Shelley previously held numerous senior development positions at Cornell University and for several years raised funds in Asia for Cornell while living in Australia. Shelley has an outstanding track record of hiring the right people for the right job and considers this one of the most rewarding aspects of her career.

Shelley is president of the board of The Center for the Arts at Ithaca, Inc. and is a board member of the Ithacare Center Service Co., Inc., Longview.

Shelley received a BA from Queens College and an MA in Teaching and Curriculum from Cortland State. She attended the Cornell School of Hotel Administration’s MPS program. She has served as a member of the CASE Commission on Alumni Relations and received the Professional of the Year Award from Case District II in 2006.
