Jeanette Rivera-Watts

Jeanette Rivera-Watts serves as a Search Consultant with Aspen Leadership Group, where she develops outreach strategies to build and refine candidate pools and establishes enduring relationships with ALG candidates in the process.

Jeanette has 13 years of experience in the non-profit sector, including 11 years in the field of advancement. She most recently served as Director of Engagement and Constituent Relations at Ithaca College, overseeing the areas of Donor Relations Events, Regional Programs, Affinity Programs, and Volunteer Programs. While in this role, she co-led an initiative to provide diversity, equity and inclusion education to her advancement and communications colleagues as well as to key volunteers of the college. She also served as the volunteer manager for ICUnity, an affinity group serving underrepresented populations within the college community, as well as for the diversity and inclusion subcommittee of the Alumni Board.

Previous roles at Ithaca College included Associate Director, Donor Relations, and Associate Director, Alumni Relations, for Regional Events. Throughout her time at Ithaca College, Jeanette worked very closely with the offices of the president and the secretary to the board of trustees on numerous projects. Jeanette planned and executed the inauguration of the college’s ninth president, along with its corresponding events.

Prior to her work in advancement, Jeanette was a Senior Special Events Producer at Thirteen/WNET, the Public Broadcasting Service’s flagship station. She also held positions at AllianceBernstein and Twentieth Century Fox, among others. Her work has always centered around relationship and project management.

Jeanette began serving as a board member of the Democracy Reform Ranking Project in late 2019.

Jeanette holds a B.S. in Mass Communication – Film from Emerson College.
