Josh Romalis

Chief Operating Officer

Josh Romalis, Chief Operating Officer, with 20 years of experience both in the U.S. and overseas, served most recently as the Executive Director of LIFT-Philadelphia, a nonprofit anti-poverty organization that engaged volunteers to support more than 2500 Philadelphians annually. Josh was also instrumental in designing and launching UConnect, a Drexel University initiative based on the LIFT model that trains Drexel students to help community members navigate local resources.

Prior to starting with LIFT, Josh was the Associate Director for the Peace Corps in Guinea, West Africa; having served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in neighboring Mali ten years earlier, Josh led the efforts of Small Enterprise Development Volunteers throughout the country. Before leaving for Guinea, Josh was the Director of Community Outreach with the SHARE Food Program, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit food distribution network providing affordable, healthy food to families throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Josh earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and his Masters degree in Intercultural Management from the Graduate Institute at the School for International Training.
