Sandra Birnie


Sandra Birnie is an associate with N2Growth’s Executive Search practice in Vancouver, BC. She began her career in finance within KPMG’s audit division where she used her business acumen and intellectual curiosity to analyze clients’ areas of risk and exposure. After establishing a solid foundation in finance, Sandra looked to add additional creative elements to her work experience thereby moving into the consumer-packaged goods space. While there, she worked in brand marketing and strategy for Tier 1 organizations such as Unilever and Interbrew.

In her brand management roles, Sandra was responsible for leading the strategic direction of the brands to drive overall sales growth as well as leading both the in-house marketing and creative services departments. She became experienced in establishing these teams from the ground up in newer organizations, as well as optimizing existing team structure and data flow. As the in-house leader for this function, she was responsible for disseminating the marketing information within the organizations’ matrix to various key stakeholders.

Sandra continued her track record of success in marketing and strategy via leadership roles in the areas of home care, health, and beauty, alcoholic beverages, auto, apparel, as well as sports & entertainment. During this time, she gained valuable experience working for organizations such as Lululemon and the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League, as their Director of Marketing and Partner Activations. Her passion for helping organizations succeed has led her to join the team at N2Growth in the Executive Search practice. She looks forward to utilizing her significant experience within global organizations to help N2Growth’s clients win with their people.

Sandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia where she graduated with Honours. Also, she has a Certificate of Financial Management from the BC Institute of Technology
In her free time, you can find Sandra spending time with family and friends enjoying various activities such as cycling, hiking, skiing, or cheering on the local teams at sporting events.
