Jutta E. Lohkampff M.A.

Managing Partner & Member of the Global Board

Jutta E. Lohkampf is Managing Partner and Member of the Global Board of Ward Howell International.

Jutta E. Lohkampff has a background of more than 26 years as a consultant in executive search. She spent her first years with Heidrick and Struggles where she was the first woman in Germany to be offered partnership. In 1991 she left and joined Ward Howell International (for an interim period branding as Signium International) as Managing Partner. Since 2012 Jutta has been Member of the Global Board and takes an active role in the international development of the company.

Jutta combines an academic and entrepreneurial background. Her professional career, before moving into the Executive Search industry – among others – covers line management functions and P&L responsibility for Germany for the largest European recruitment company.

The leading German business magazine “Wirtschaftswoche“ named Jutta Lohkampff as one of Germany’s 100 most important headhunters.

Jutta focuses mainly on top-level assignments within three areas.

Legal
Jutta is Head of the firm’s Legal Practice.

From her first year in Executive Search she placed in-house legal positions for big international corporations (Fortune 500), Dax 30 companies and typical German “Mittelstand”-companies.

In 1996 she was one of the first executive search professionals to work for international law firms. She has helped large international law firms to establish or grow their practices across Germany and Europe as well as German law firms to expand both locally as well as internationally. Key assignments predominantly cover searches for Partners, Practice Heads, Managing Partners / Country Heads as well as whole offices and complete teams. She has also successfully motivated law firms or complete offices to merge with our clients. Clients are mainly American, British and German law firms.

Media/Publishing/Entertainment
Jutta has been involved in outstanding recruitments within this industry including Members of Supervisory Boards, European Presidents, CEOs etc. Clients are big international media conglomerates, big and medium-sized publishing groups from all sectors, international music groups, out-of-home-media companies and relevant industry associations.

Technical goods companies
She has been working for a broad variety of clients within this relatively big sector and has been involved in top level searches for aggressive, fast growing US serial goods manufacturers as well as for German DAX companies and privately owned typical German “Mittelstand”-companies in investment goods, automotive and telecommunication. Her clients cover a range from Fortune 500 / DAX 30 companies to privately owned mid-sized firms.

A common element of her clients/searches bringing together these diverse industries is the level and nature of the assignment. In most of her searches she has been asked to place a top level position and find the specific cultural fit which needs a very focused recruiting strategy covering more than one market/territory. Her clients value Jutta’s special ability to understand their specific culture, find the best professional and cultural fit and to motivate the most successful candidates to join our clients.
