John Rumsey

John joined Westwood in 2014. He is based in London. He has long experience of interviewing both as a journalist and in the search industry and a strong specialization in finance especially in asset management and capital markets. His work has seen him talk with heads of states, Central Bank governors, Ministers of Finance, CEOs, and CIOs.

With work experience spanning London, New York and São Paulo (Brazil), John has written for publications including the Financial Times, The Economist, Euromoney, Institutional Investor and Absolute Return. He also has extensive experience of editing financial publications, including BondWeek, asset management specialist newsletter Global Money Management, and a number of emerging markets publications. At specialist asset management search boutique Warren International, John was head of research in London from 2000-2004.

He oversaw research and was instrumental in interviewing and presenting candidates, which included working on a number of team moves, and communicating with clients on the process. A speaker of Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Italian, John has degrees from Bristol University (BA) and the University College of London (MA), both in modern European languages.
