Norman Broadbent Names Executive Search Head
February 14, 2017 – U.K.-headquartered recruiter Norman Broadbent has appointed Tim Hammett as managing partner and head of executive search. Mr. Hammett has a 17 year track record in the field and an in-depth knowledge of the C-level market. Most recently, he was a partner with Wilton & Bain in London. He entered search in 2000 and has worked at the senior levels with firms including Heidrick & Struggles, Whitehead Mann and Augmentum.
During his career, Mr. Hammett has covered markets such as consumer, life sciences, telecom and media. Besides his executive search experience, he has also had management responsibility for leading a senior interim practice for a leading global search firm and managed teams across London, Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore.
“We are delighted to welcome Tim to the Norman Broadbent Group and our senior leadership team,” said Mike Brennan, group chief executive officer. “As the world of work changes, clients are quite rightly becoming more demanding of executive search firms. They increasingly want to see new, more value added and integrated search solutions emerging.”

“Tim has a rare, solutions-orientated approach to search, which is in line with our business philosophy and how we want to partner with our clients,” Mr. Brennan added. “In an ever-changing business world, clients need access to the widest possible range of senior management talent solutions, giving them the corporate agility to achieve their objectives.”
He said the firm’s integrated portfolio of service offerings of search, interim, insight, consulting and solutions, coupled with a strong problem-solving mindset, enable its partners to “access and deliver exceptional talent” to meet their needs.
Use of Funding Capital
The appointment of Mr. Hammett completes Norman Broadbent’s proposed senior management hires following a £2.3 million funding round undertaken in September. The company’s senior leadership team now comprises heads of executive search, board search, senior interim management, insight and talent solutions, all of whom report to Mr. Brennan.
This past fall, the firm appointed Angela Hickmore as managing director of Norman Broadbent Interim. Ms. Hickmore has over 25 years in the recruitment industry and an in-depth knowledge of the senior level interim management sector. She previously served as a partner with BrightPool, the sister company to Interim Partners, a specialist recruitment firm operating in the financial and professional services markets.
Norman Broadbent also recently named Tim Kemp as a managing director within its HR and professional services practices. Mr. Kemp has a wealth of experience from within the industry, having served as a partner with CTPartners and before that serving as a senior partner with Korn Ferry.
It was just last year that Norman Broadbent named Mr. Brennan as its CEO. He has a wealth of experience built up over 20 years within the global executive recruitment market and more recently the broader recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) field. Previously, Mr. Brennan served as director and global client partner / global head of executive talent & competitive intelligence at Alexander Mann Solutions.
Norman Broadbent is a human capital consulting firm which provides a broad range of people solutions. Its specialties include board and executive search, board assessment and leadership consulting, interim management, as well as coaching and mentoring services.
