May 5, 2016 – Egon Zehnder has appointed Scott Texeira as head of the firm’s North America technology and communications practice. He succeeds Jon Carter, a founding member of Egon Zehnder’s Palo Alto office, who will now focus on board advisory, director search, and CEO succession planning.
Mr. Texeira’s new practice leadership role is in addition to his current one as leader of Egon Zehnder’s systems, services and software practice segment in North America. He will continue to conduct CEO, CIO and other C-level executive searches for clients.
Mr. Texeira advises companies of all sizes seeking to compete through the innovative use and development of technology. He is experienced in software development and software-as-a-service (SaaS) architectures and brings expertise in cloud services, big data, IoT, and IT infrastructure.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, he served as group product manager and special assistant to the CEO for Kofax, a leader in the document imaging and information capture industry. He began his professional career at Intuit in Silicon Valley, where he was a product manager responsible for all direct-to-consumer e-commerce sites. He has also held senior product management roles in venture-backed startups, including BigFix, Mohomine and Jarna.
Executive Search Review: Cybersecurity Special Issue
The convergence of web, cloud, social and mobile technology is leading to worrisome security breaches across corporate America — leaving companies vulnerable and seemingly defenseless. There is now an unprecedented demand for cybersecurity talent. Hunt Scanlon takes an inside look.
Egon Zehnder’s technology and communications practice consists of consultants that offer highly specialized expertise within a variety of areas, including big data; telecommunications; digital; mobile devices & apps; systems, services and software; cybersecurity; semiconductors; and intelligent systems.
“Technology is a mainstay of the U.S. and global economy, and Egon Zehnder places special value on the close relationships we have formed with many of the industry’s most outstanding leaders,” said Karl Alleman, U.S. managing partner. “Scott has keen insight into where technology and communications must go next, and what the industry needs to get there. He is uniquely qualified to build upon Jon’s long success in guiding our efforts to serve great technology enterprises, large and small.”
Mr. Alleman recently assumed his new role as head of U.S. operations at Egon Zehnder. Greig T. Schneider, who had been in charge of American operations at the firm since 2011, was elected to Zehnder’s board of directors. Mr. Schneider will continue his work in C-suite succession planning and talent consulting, a practice that he’s led globally. Mr. Alleman led the firm’s Chicago office and launched its industrial practice, which has grown to serve an extensive portfolio of multinational companies, private equity firms and family-owned businesses.
