Heidrick & Struggles Names LA Office Leader

January 8, 2016 – Carlos Garcia has been named head of the Los Angeles office of Heidrick & Struggles. He will continue to be active in the firm’s supply chain & operations search practice and work  with clients in its healthcare and life sciences practice sectors.

Mr. Garcia recruits senior leaders in sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics, distribution, customer service, and integrated supply chain areas. He joined Heidrick from Korn Ferry where he served as a senior client partner. Before that he was with recruiting firm Morgan Samuels.

He began his career with Pfizer in an accelerated leadership development program. Mr. Garcia then worked at Booz Allen & Co. in operations and manufacturing strategy where he led business transformation programs across the Americas and Europe. He ascended through the organization to become vice president.

“Carlos is a natural choice to lead the office,” said Ron Lumbra, Heidrick’s Americas regional managing partner. “His roots in Los Angeles run deep and he is known to clients and colleagues as an astute counselor who understands the firm and issues facing our clients both globally and in California.”

Earlier this week, Heidrick named Lyndon A. Taylor as the new head of its Chicago office. He is active in the firm’s financial services and CEO / board practices. Mr. Taylor rejoined Heidrick & Struggles in 2014. He had spent the previous decade at Russell Reynolds Associates.

This past October, Heidrick appointed Ron Lumbra as region leader for its Americas region. He leads a team of more than 350 partners, principals and associates serving clients across all service sectors. Mr. Lumbra also joined the firm from Russell Reynolds, where he served as managing director and co-leader, Americas CEO and board services.
