EMA Partners Opens New Offices in Norway

March 3, 2020 – EMA Partners International, a global partnership of executive search professionals, has expanded its presence in the EMEA region with the opening of new offices in Oslo and Stavanger. The Norwegian offices are led by managing partner Knut Hauge.
Mr. Hauge and his team have extensive experience in executive search, leadership assessment and HR consulting across several industries, including IT/digital/telecom, energy, marcom, government and not-for-profit, financial services, infrastructure and industrial/logistics.

Norwegian Market
Today, Norway is the second wealthiest country in the world in monetary value, with the largest capital reserve per capita of any nation. It has a mixed economy, a prosperous capitalist welfare state and social democracy country featuring a combination of free market activity and large state ownership in certain key sectors.
Norway has large ownership positions in key industrial sectors, such as strategic petroleum (Statoil), hydroelectric energy production (Statkraft), aluminum production (Norsk Hydro), the largest Norwegian bank (DNB) and telecommunication provider (Telenor). Through these companies the government controls about 30 percent of the stock values at the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Expanding Global Footprint
In December, EMA Partners opened a new office in Miami and named Mark Young as managing director to lead the new location. Mr. Young has over 30 years of executive search experience and for the past many years he has extensively engaged with multinational and local businesses in Florida. Previously, he was a director with Stanton Chase in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale.
Just recently, the consortium expanded its presence in the EMEA region with the additions of new offices in Lisbon and Kiev. The office in Lisbon is led by managing partner Rui Guedes de Quinhones, while the Kiev office is led by managing partner Uliana Morokhovska. Mr. Guedes de Quinhones has extensive experience in executive search and leadership & organizational assessment across several industries, including consumer, retail & services, technology, marcom, government & not-for-profit, healthcare and financial services. Ms. Morokhovska is a seasoned executive search practitioner with experience in sectors including technology, telecom, life sciences and consumer goods in the CEE region.

EMA Partners also strengthened its presence in Asia Pacific with the opening new offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The organization added Janet Lee in Hong Kong as managing partner, and Danny Zhang and Kathy Zheng as managing partners in Shanghai and Beijing. Both Mr. Zhang and Ms. Zheng are veteran executive search consultants with established China practices across the manufacturing, consumer, luxury, digital and internet sectors. Their experience spans large local and multinational corporations.
The organization also strengthened its presence in India with the addition of Aravind Sridharan as client partner to lead the technology and digital practice for the firm in the region. EMA also brought in Udai Raina as associate director to lead the digital and IOT practice in India. “Aravind and Udai strengthen EMA Partners’ technology and digital practice in the region,” said Mr. Sudarshan. “With their experience, they bring with them an in-depth understanding and global perspective of the industry to EMA Partners which will help address our client needs in the fast-growing leadership talent market in this sector.”
EMA Partners also recently strengthened its presence in the Americas with the addition of new office in in Bogota, Colombia with the induction of Natalia Godoy Duenas of Consultores Organizacionales S.A.S. Ms. Godoy Duenas, who becomes a managing director at EMA Partners, has significant experience in managing executive search engagements for leading local and multinational companies in the Latin American region.
