February 2, 2018 – Executive search firm Charles Aris Inc. has recently announced promotions for Ashlee Wagner, Heather Porter, and T.J. Deal.

Ms. Wagner has been named as senior associate practice leader. As a key member of the firm’s strategy & corporate development recruiting practice, she will focus on placing senior leaders with client organizations in the financial services industry. Prior to her most recent elevation to a business development role, she specialized in the recruitment of senior leaders for the firm’s strategy consulting clientele. The firm’s strategy & corporate development practice has placed more than 550 candidates in mission-critical roles since 2004.

“Charles Aris is incredibly proud to announce the promotion of Ashlee Wagner to senior associate practice leader, a role in which she will lead our strategy & corporate development practice while recruiting for clients in financial services,” said CEO Chad Oakley. “Since her very first day at the firm, Ashlee has led our organization in the number of meaningful conversations with prospective candidates, which is perhaps the most important metric for success in executive search.”

Ms. Wagner joined Charles Aris in 2014 following a three-year stint with insurance and financial services leader State Farm, where she served clients’ needs for auto, home, life and health insurance, as well as banking products.

Ms. Porter has also been elevated to senior associate practice leader. In this role, she will focus on placing executive sales and marketing leaders in her industrial client organizations. Ms. Porter quickly developed expertise in the firm’s engineering & operations recruiting practice, where she worked closely with Charles Aris senior vice president Greg Harper in the industrial space. She joined the firm in 2014 with more than nine years of experience in sales, marketing and operations – including eight years as a director of operations for Cold Stone Creamery’s North Carolina and South Carolina territories.

“I am excited to continue to work with Heather in this new capacity,” said Mr. Harper. “Heather’s vast experience during her time with Charles Aris will no doubt lead to her success within our sales & marketing function in the industrial space.”

Mr. Deal has been appointed as an associate practice leader. In this role, he will add business development responsibilities across the technology industry to his functional recruiting efforts in strategy and corporate development. Before joining Charles Aris in 2015, Mr. Deal directed military accounts for Arbor Supply, a brokerage firm that facilitates the distribution of non-food items to the Military Commissaries.

“T.J. is a fantastic addition to our technology practice, and we’re lucky to have him,” said Charles Aris vice president Steven Stewart, who leads the firm’s technology recruiting practice. “He’s bright, enterprising and incredibly hard-working – three attributes which will serve him and Charles Aris well for many years to come. I’m thrilled to partner with him as we take this practice to the next level.”

Established nearly 50 years ago, Charles Aris is a search industry pioneer focused on senior-level assignments within the strategy & business development, private equity, consumer/ retail, finance & accounting, sales & marketing, education, executive leadership, engineering & operations, chemicals, and agribusiness sectors.
