Aviation Search Recruits Security Officer for AirMed International

October 18, 2016 – Executive recruiting firm Aviation Search Group has placed Steven McNeeley as safety and security executive officer at AirMed International, LLC. Executive recruiter and client manager Jaime Truxal led the search.

The search firm said that AirMed was looking for someone with a background in on-demand aircraft operations along with extensive experience implementing processes, procedures and managing safety management systems. With an illustrious military career in both the U.S. Air Force and Navy, Mr. McNeeley has spent the last 16 years overseeing safety and quality initiatives. He therefore fit the search requirements more than any other candidate considered.

Previously, Mr. McNeeley served as chair of the National Aviation Transportation Association’s Safety and Security Committee and on the Air Charter Safety Foundation’s industry audit working group. He participated as a member on the operations and training working group, FAA Safety Management System Aviation Rule Making Committee. He has lectured and presented safety management material for the FAA Safety Management Systems Focus Group on several occasions and he is a published author on aviation internal evaluation programs.

“Steven has 16 years of experience implementing and maintaining SMS and safety manuals within on-demand aircraft operations,” said Ms. Truxal. “He has extensive experience making recommendations to enhance safety in the operation of aircraft, aircraft maintenance, standardization and training, ground operations along with gathering trends and analyzing company safety performance data.”

In his new role, Mr. McNeely will be responsible for AirMed personnel and flight safety processes, policies, procedures, safety management system and emergency response plan in addition to aircraft and facility security.
