Amrop Strengthens Footprint in Australia
February 12, 2018 – Amrop, a partnership of recruiting firms operating from 75 offices in 48 countries throughout Asia, EMEA and the Americas remains in growth mode. It recently added the Australian regional entity of executive search firm Carmichael Fisher Australia to its fold. The new partner helps bring significant national presence for Amrop in Australia and strengthens the group’s capabilities across the Asia Pacific region, said Amrop.
The European and U.S. entities of Carmichael Fisher will remain independent.
Established by Michael Markiewicz in 2002, Carmichael Fisher’s Australia business is led today by managing partner Jamal Khan. Carmichael Fisher Australia is a privately-owned firm, with offices in Sydney and Melbourne and a team of 13 partners and 14 professional staff. The firm will operate as Amrop Carmichael Fisher.
“Executive Search markets are witnessing increasing globalization and mobility amongst executives and we are excited about the opportunities that joining forces in Australia with the Amrop Partnership brings,” said Mr. Khan. “Being part of a truly global group that is very much aligned to our culture and values will significantly enhance our offering and strengthen capability across executive search, leadership advisory and board services.”
Amrop Carmichael Fisher’s focus is on senior management, executive and board positions in consumer & retail, education, energy & infrastructure, financial services, government/public sector, health & life sciences, industrial, professional services, and technology, media & digital.
“This addition significantly strengthens our capabilities across the Asia Pacific region,” said José Leyún, CEO of Amrop. “As executive chairman, Michael Markiewicz has a successful track record of more than 30 years in the executive recruitment industry and a true international mindset. Jamal’s leadership is a reflection of the company’s forward-looking succession planning and a commitment to continued growth.”
The addition of Amrop Carmichael Fisher brings Amrop’s Asia Pacific footprint to nine offices in Australia, China, Philippines, Singapore and South Korea.
