Amrop Announces Search Team for New Italian Operations

March 13, 2019 – Global recruiting organization Amrop has introduced its new team in Italy led by managing partners Antonio Pellerano and Walter Gai, and supported by partners Alessandra Fogola, Claudia Paladino and Marcella Accorinti. The team, which will be called Amrop Italy, will provide a full range of senior recruitment and leadership services to companies in the industrial, financial services, life sciences, consumer & retail, media and digital/technology sectors.

Italian Team

Mr. Pellerano is an experienced executive search consultant who has devoted his professional career to the areas of human capital and talent management. His consultancy has focused mainly on the full spectrum of life sciences companies, including established and start-up pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device organizations. He joined Amrop in 2002.

Mr. Gai’s executive search career spans more than two decades. He has developed a deep and wide leadership recruitment and consulting experience, working mainly for a number of large Italian and international organizations, in particular those in the consumer & retail, financial services, industrial, automotive and media sectors. He joined Amrop in 2009

Ms. Accoriniti started her career in asset allocation management, capital markets and relationship management in Italian and international banks. Her many years of consulting experience have been concentrated in the banking/finance and real estate sectors in which, in addition to executive search activities, she has carried out significant projects in leadership services, including coaching. She joined Amrop in 2015.

Ms. Paladino has worked in executive search since 2006. She has managed numerous complex change management projects for multinational and family companies in Italy, and senior recruitment assignments in the digital and innovation space. At Amrop, Ms. Paladino specializes in the industrial, digital and consumer & retail sectors. She joined Amrop in 2016.

Ms. Fogola started her career in law in Turin. She subsequently moved to a family-run publishing company to manage development and distribution, and later managed strategy and communications campaigns at a major Italian media company, working across tv, radio, press and web. She brings this deep expertise to her work with clients in the media, technology and consumer sectors. Ms. Fogola just recently joined Amrop in 2019 after a long experience in the media industry.

Continued Global Growth

Amrop has undergone a wave of growth over the past year. Just last month, the consortium expanded with the addition of talent management veteran Pauline Houlihan as a partner in Ireland. Ms. Houlihan joins Amrop from international professional services firm RGP, an international professional services firm, where she spent 12 years as talent management director, focused on the acquisition, management and deployment of senior executive, cross functional, project consultants across Ireland and Europe.

Recently, Amrop opened a new office in Dublin, re-launching operations in Ireland and strengthening its capabilities across the EMEA region. Amrop appointed managing partner David Kelly to lead Amrop Ireland, which will focus on providing executive search and related leadership services to clients across a range of sectors, with particular focus on financial services, consumer and retail, and industrial.

The organization also added Adrián Chinchilla as leader of its operations in Costa Rica. He assumed the title of partner and general manager and leads the search for senior executives and independent members of boards of directors for national companies, multinationals and family business groups. Mr. Chinchilla has over 25 years of managerial experience in the private and public sector, and as a member of boards of directors. In the financial sector, he has been the pension manager of the Corredores Asociados Group in Colombia.

Amrop also gained a new partner with Woodburn Mann in South Africa. Led by managing partner Andrew Woodburn, Woodburn Mann was established in 1982 in Johannesburg. It serves a range of clients across southern and sub-Saharan Africa. With a staff team of 25, the firm offers client-focused processes and services to the most prominent African businesses, as well as government parastatal operations, multi-national subsidiaries and entrepreneurial ventures. Its services include executive and non-executive search, board reviews and succession planning, executive coaching and leadership assessment and development. The firm now operates as Amrop Woodburn Mann.

Lastly, Amrop also added the Australian regional entity of executive search firm Carmichael Fisher Australia to its fold. The new partner helps bring significant national presence for Amrop in Australia and strengthens the group’s capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region, said Amrop. Established by Michael Markiewicz in 2002, Carmichael Fisher’s Australia business is led today by managing partner Jamal Khan. Carmichael Fisher Australia is a privately-owned firm, with offices in Sydney and Melbourne and a team of 13 partners and 14 professional staff. The firm will operate as Amrop Carmichael Fisher.
