Alexander Hughes Establishes Joint Venture In Iran

July 21, 2016 – Global executive search firm Alexander Hughes has partnered with IranianOffice to form a joint venture based in Tehran. Shayan Shadfar and Christophe Laurent-Atthalin are managing the new joint operation.

IranianOffice provides business intelligence and operational support for businesses with and in Iran. The scope of activities IranianOffice provides to its western and local clients ranges from business development to operational support and include distributor and franchise search, M&A and joint-venture operations, advisory, wage portage and employment externalization. IranianOffice has its own resources in Iran as well as consultants in Germany, France, Italy, Belgium and Austria.

“Iran is an important market for our existing customers and for so many western or European companies that are willing to return or to establish business with and in this industrialized and advanced country with 80 million people,” said Julien Rozet, CEO of the Alexander Hughes Group. “Alexander Hughes has been in the Middle East for years now; however the specificities of Iran, its size, its potential, and the growing demand of our corporate clients have made our physical presence here essential now. I am proud of the reactivity of our group to be a pioneer in Iran, especially as this will contribute to the fast developing activities of Alexander Hughes in this region.”

Iran’s economy is a mixture of central planning, state ownership of oil and other large enterprises, village agriculture, and small-scale private trading and service ventures. Unemployment has remained above 10 percent since 1997, and the unemployment rate for women is almost double that of men. Iran has leading manufacturing industries in car manufacturing and transportation, construction materials, home appliances, food and agricultural goods, armaments, pharmaceuticals, information technology, power and petrochemicals in the Middle East.
