Major, Lindsey & Africa Launches EMEA Solutions Practice Group
October 20, 2015 – Search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa (MLA) has launched a solutions practice group across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to assist companies and law firms manage variations to complex legal workloads without adding to permanent headcount resources.
Based in MLA’s London office, Laura Fellows now leads the group for this region. In EMEA, the solutions practice group will expand on its buildout in the U.S. and partner with corporate legal departments and law firms to provide traditional interim and flexible workforce solutions for short-term and long-term legal needs.
Ms. Fellows, who originally joined MLA in January, has a wealth of experience in the legal sector. She previously launched a similar business called Chadwick Nott which provided flexible legal talent to clients. Before that she had spent six years practicing law in the London offices of Jones Day and Simmons & Simmons and seven years as a senior lecturer on the legal practice course at BPP University.
“In-house legal teams and law firms are becoming increasingly stretched as markets pick up. Teams can no longer absorb the work of colleagues on leave or who leave as utilization rates reach a six year high,” said Brent Harris, executive director, international operations for Major, Lindsey & Africa. “We welcome the ability to fulfill both immediate and long term legal staffing needs of corporations and law firms across the EMEA region. Laura has joined to build the business here and we welcome both her energy and expertise as she now leads the launch for our team in this region.”
This addition follows the appointment of Cloud Schnoebelen as a managing director in its solutions practice group in the U.S. last month. In his new role, Mr. Schnoebelen works closely with corporate legal departments and law firms to identify contract attorneys and legal professionals to fulfill clients’ interim legal needs. He is based in the firm’s San Francisco office.
With offices throughout the U.S., London, Hong Kong and Tokyo, Major, Lindsey & Africa is an executive search firm focused on the legal sector.
