AIMS Expands in Singapore

AIMS Expands Singapore

December 8, 2017 – AIMS International has recently expanded with the addition of Jonathan Khoo as managing partner for AIMS Singapore.

Mr. Khoo brings a wealth of experience in executive search as well as executive management across the industrial sectors, notably transport and engineering and IT & telecommunications and life sciences, among others.

“Jonathan has a comprehensive understanding of clients’ challenges across the region,” said Adarsh Matta, executive vice president APAC at AIMS. “We are thrilled with the ongoing development in our region, and we will be focusing on further expansions as part of our growth strategy.”

The Singapore team offers a variety of HR advisory services, such as executive search for senior and executive managers, as well as talent management services, such as career coaching and HR consulting.

Mr. Khoo, who is fluent in English and Chinese, most recently served as managing partner for Southeast Asia at NGS Global. Before that, he was a managing director at Strategic Executive Search Group. Earlier in his career, he served in various HR roles with Samsung Asia and ComforDegro.

Singapore Market

The Singapore economy is considered to be one of the freest, most innovative, competitive, dynamic and business-friendly anywhere. The Index of Economic Freedom ranks Singapore as the second freest economy in the world, and the Ease of Doing Business Index has ranked it as the easiest place to do business for the past decade.

Singapore’s largest companies are in the telecommunications, banking, transportation and manufacturing sectors, many of which started as state-run enterprises and are now listed on the Singapore Exchange. These include Singapore Telecommunications, Singapore Technologies Engineering, Keppel Corporation, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, Development Bank of Singapore and United Overseas Bank.

“Due to its political stability, strong economy and high concentration of talents, Singapore has historically been the place where many global companies have their regional headquarters, and from here, expand their business across the very diverse ASEAN countries,” said Mr. Khoo. “As many AIMS International partners already service global clients with presence here in Singapore, this opens up valuable opportunities for the Singapore office to continue servicing these clients here in this region.”

With over 80 offices worldwide, AIMS International provides clients with customized, global executive search and talent management services in 50 countries. It currently has active global practice groups working in the automotive, financial & professional services, FMCG & luxury goods, industrial, IT & telecoms and life sciences industries, as well as in talent management and board advisory services.
