A cross-border executive recruiter (based in San Jose and Shanghai), Mr. Luo will join ZRG’s technology practice. “Having entered executive search in 1994, Train is one of the most senior executive search consultants in China, and he has the track record to match,” said Larry Hartmann, CEO of ZRG. “His experience in high tech industries, both in APAC and the US, will be advantageous to ZRG’s clients and search consultants globally.”
Mr. Luo has 10 years of recruiting experience based in the Silicon Valley and over 13 years of experience in top global executive search firms in Asia. He is an expert in high tech sectors, having placed leaders across semiconductor, smart device/IOT, SaaS, internet, venture capital, and blockchain/crypto. Notably, he recruited the China president of Amazon and the first China City GM for Uber. In addition, he was a winner of LinkedIn Power Profiles in China in 2017.
Before joining ZRG, Mr. Luo founded TL Talent Advisory, which now serves as ZRG’s affiliate operation in China. His recent career includes tenures as head of global talent acquisition at Didi Global and vice president of human resources at DJI. Earlier, he was the managing partner, China for CTPartners; senior client partner with Korn Ferry; and a partner in Asia-Pacific with Heidrick & Struggles.
“ZRG’s emphasis on collaboration really drew me in,” said Mr. Luo. “I am excited to expand this fast-growing and entrepreneurial company in the APAC region and to build my own search practice through the use of ZRG’s innovative tools and partnership with my colleagues both within and beyond the technology practice.”
