The Eliot Group Opens Office in Sydney
February 1, 2022 – Eliot Partnership, a global insurance sector executive search firm, has opened an office in Sydney, Australia, its sixth location, which will be led by Graeme Young. “We all wish Graeme the best of luck in Australia and in all of his efforts within Ricarda’s Asia-Pacific team,” said Andrew Eliot, founder and managing partner of Eliot Partnership. “We believe there is a tremendous opportunity for us to add significant value to the hiring strategies of our Australian clients through the introduction of local and global talent into the workplace. The further development of Asia-Pacific is in tandem with our U.K., European and North American regional strategies and is an exciting step in our continued global growth.”
Mr. Young has relocated from Eliot’s New York office and will operate alongside the firms’ existing Asia operation based in Singapore, which is led by senior partner Ricarda Simon. He joined Eliot’s New York team in 2019 to support the business’ expansion in the North American and Bermudian markets.
Starting his career in the London market, Mr. Young has developed his knowledge of the insurance sector across multiple geographies over a 30-year career. Throughout his career, he has been involved in primary, reinsurance and captive markets globally, specifically across London, North America, Australia and Asia. He has spent the last 12 years as an executive search and recruitment specialist working for U.S. and international clients.
In this newly-created position, Mr. Young will work with the firm’s management team to build its Pacific presence enhancing the work already undertaken in Asia, which will help further the company’s business’ presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
The move will grow Eliot’s global footprint even further, while complementing the established offices in Bermuda, London, New York, Singapore and Zurich. “I am thrilled to be returning home to Australia and delighted to be part of Eliot’s expansion that will cement the business’ position in Asia-Pacific further,” Mr. Young said. “Adding Sydney to the existing major hubs of Bermuda, London, New York, Singapore and Zurich will strengthen Eliot’s focus and the business’ efforts in meeting the increasing demand for top talent.
