The Miles Partnership Expands Media and Insurance Practices

March 2, 2016 – U.K.-based boutique executive search firm The Miles Partnership has added three new search consultants to its media and insurance practices.

George Williams joins the firm as a principal in its media practice. He brings a track record of recruiting board, C-suite and executive talent in the sports and media industries. Previously, Mr. Williams was business development manager for Nielsen on London 2012 where he consulted brands on their Olympic and Paralympic activation strategies. Before that, he served as an associate and founding member of the Odgers Berndtson global sports practice. Earlier in his search career, he was a consultant with Robert Walters. His previous search clients include leading football clubs, international rights holders and many of the world’s foremost sports federations.

“We are thrilled to have someone with the knowledge and sector insight that George has joining our growing team,” said Tony Simpson, Miles Partnership media practice head. “Over the past year we have worked with some of the world’s leading media and content focused groups. The appointment of George is in line with our growth strategy.”

Zoe Campbell and Charlie Davies join the firm as partners to strengthen the firm’s insurance practice.

Ms. Campbell brings a depth of insurance expertise having worked and fostered strong relationships within the sector. She offers specialist knowledge coverage across actuarial, risk and regulation, underwriting and claims, as well as board placements including CEOs, chair and non-executive directors.  Her recent role was senior consultant with Eliot Partnership. Prior to that she worked with search firm Hanson Green. She began her career as a legal journalist focusing on offshore financial markets.

Mr. Davies brings long-standing relationships in the international insurance marketplace as well as detailed knowledge of the reinsurance market. While much of his time has been spent in the underwriting and broking space, he has an extensive network at the board and executive committee level. Prior to joining The Miles Partnership, he supported Eliot Partnership in building its executive search business in London, Europe, Singapore and U.S. The predominance of his career has been spent in the insurance market where he worked for over 35 years, mainly as a senior reinsurance broker with Jenner Fenton Slade, and subsequently Aon Re, dealing with both LMX and Continental clients.

“I am very excited to welcome Zoe and Charlie to the team to build on our traditionally strong specialist insurance practice and take it to the next level,” said CEO Chris Stainton. “We already have strength and depth in financial services and we are now adding Zoe’s and Charlie’s considerable experience in insurance. Their appointments will further accelerate the growth we are seeing across the firm. I know that they will add great value.”

The Miles Partnership is an executive and board level search, interim management and leadership consulting firm. Industry specialties include financial services; industrial and energy; insurance; life sciences; media and digital; and retail and consumer.
