Storbeck / Pimentel & Associates Expands Search Staff

September 21, 2016 – Executive search firm Storbeck / Pimentel & Associates has expanded its search team with the additions of Pharen Bowman-Crooks and Matthew Marsallo as associates.

Ms. Bowman-Crooks brings with her significant experience in higher education, having worked most recently as an undergraduate admissions and financial aid officer and director of the Harvard Financial Aid Initiative at Harvard University. There, she focused on recruiting low-income students and providing support for matriculated financial aid recipients. Her passion for access and student success will be an asset to the firm and its continued search work in these spaces.

Mr. Marsallo joins Storbeck / Pimentel from his most recent role as major gifts officer at Gill St. Bernard’s in Gladstone, NJ. Before that, he was a part of the annual fund team for Columbia College at Columbia University and also held roles in admissions at multiple independent schools. He will help support the firm’s growth in its independent school practice.

Deeply Rooted In the Education Sector

“We are so pleased to have such wonderful colleagues joining our ranks,” said Lesley Boyd, the firm’s director of research. “With both Matt and Pharen so deeply rooted in education, they undoubtedly bring a wealth of experience and insight to our growing firm.”

Storbeck / Pimentel has an established history in recruiting top leadership for higher educational institutions. The firm currently employs over 50 staff across offices in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

The firm was just recently retained by the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) to lead its search for a new chief compliance officer. UNTHSC is one of the nation’s distinguished graduate academic health science centers, dedicated to education, research, clinical care and community engagement.
