Russell Reynolds Associates Names Americas Practice Leader for Transportation and Logistics

January 23, 2020 – Executive recruitment firm Russell Reynolds Associates has added Zack Deming as a consultant in the firm’s industrial practice and Americas practice leader for transportation and logistics. Based in Atlanta, he will be expected to work closely with transportation, logistics, airports and aviation-related companies, as well as private equity and infrastructure funds that invest in this space, to advise them on their executive search, succession, and development strategies and approaches.

Prior to Russell Reynolds Associates, Mr. Deming spent over seven years at Korn Ferry, where he most recently held a senior client partner role in their civil aviation and transportation and logistics practices. Previously, he was with Heidrick & Struggles for two years as a senior associate. He began his career as a staff assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives before spending time in financial services.

Mr. Deming serves on a number of advisory boards for transportation and logistics companies, including Material Capital, ACI Last Mile, Grab and Winmore (formerly Lanetix). Mr. Deming is a regular speaker at aviation industry conferences, having spoken at a number of leading events around the world.

As a core member of the search firm’s transportation and logistics and civil aviation practices, Mr. Deming provides top-level executive search and talent management services to a broad range of clients in aviation, spanning the airline, aerospace and airport sectors. He has led senior-level searches for numerous aviation organizations around the globe. This work has included CEO, president/COO, CFO, sales and marketing, and operations leadership assignments.

Growing Global Firm

The firm closed the year by adding Immo Futterlieb as managing director in Munich and Moritz Trebeljahr as executive director in its Hamburg office. Dr. Trebeljahr, who holds a doctorate in history, previously worked for Egon Zehnder for more than 10 years, where he specialized in recruiting general counsels and chief compliance officers. He joined the corporate officers practice at Russell Reynolds Associates, focusing on legal and compliance, finance and HR roles. In addition, he will handle supervisory board and corporate governance issues.

Russell Reynolds Associates also expanded with the addition of veteran HR executive Katherine Henry as a senior member of the firm’s global corporate officers sector, leading the human resources officers practice in Australia. She is based in Melbourne and advises clients on matters pertaining to organizational transformations, talent acquisition and development. Previously, Ms. Henry was with ASX-listed Bellamy’s Organic and UXC, where she held chief human resources officer roles.

The New York City headquartered firm recently added two other HR executives to its staff:

It added Helena Fyda as a consultant in its corporate officers practice. Based in Houston, Ms. Fyda works closely with C-suite-level executives to help drive greater effectiveness and transformative business partnering for corporate functions, particularly the human resources function. Prior to Russell Reynolds Associates, Ms. Fyda worked for nearly 20 years at BP, where she was most recently vice president of human resources for BP America.

The firm also added veteran HR executive Eren Rosenfeld as chief human capital officer. She leads the firm’s global talent strategy, new talent development and human resources functions. Ms. Rosenfeld was previously the global head of talent development at BlackRock.
