Sharman McGurn

Sharman McGurn is a Managing Partner with QLK and has been with the firm since 2005. Previously, Sharman was a Vice President of another well-respected executive search firm with robust practices in both the for-profit and not-for-profits arenas. She brings a depth of successful search experience, having handled a broad range of national engagements for hospitals and health systems, associations, and medical and health-sciences organizations. Sharman’s portfolio of successful search assignments within the healthcare industry includes those for the C-suite as well as clinical executives and senior leadership roles in marketing, finance, strategy and planning, human resources and education. She knows how to identify and attract the right talent and is a true consultant to her clients, helping them assess and define their human capital needs. From 1992 to 1999, Sharman served as Vice President for a generalist search firm during a period of tremendous growth. Earlier in her career, she was the Vice President of placement for an international search consultancy that specialized in the recruitment and placement of allied health professionals. Throughout her adult life, Sharman has been an active volunteer for a variety of community and social service organizations that provide services and opportunities for children and young adults. She has served on the boards of several not-for-profits, community-benefit agencies, and has been a participant in local government. Sharman holds a master’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, Newark.
