Mike Kieffer has served clients in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. After founding and leading his previous firm, Witt/Kieffer, he channeled his energy and skill into another venture, The Kieffer Group, specializing in Executive Coaching, Succession Planning and Governance Consulting. With this increased expertise, he joined Quick Leonard Kieffer as Chairman in 2000, again serving clients in an executive search capacity. Throughout his career, Mike has worked with over 500 organizations, governing boards and CEOs which has provided him with an exceptionally broad range of perspective and insight into the critical importance of having the right executive in the right position at the right time with the right board, thus ensuring an organization’s success. As a testimony to his reputation for excellence, over 300 hundred boards have engaged Mike to assist in their searches for CEOs, many at the system/corporate level. His portfolio also includes personal, hands-on experience in serving on multiple boards, including community hospitals, health systems, foundation boards and various boards of social organizations. Most recently, Mike has served as a member of the Board of JC Lincoln Health Network in Phoenix, Arizona and Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. With a liberal arts undergraduate degree and an MBA, Mike has authored a number of articles and is a frequent guest speaker at MBA/MHA programs. As an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University, he teaches graduate courses in Leadership, Not-for Profit Governance, and Strategic Planning in the School of Healthcare Management and Policy. He has also taught similar courses at DePaul University, Grand Canyon University and Central Michigan University.
