Courtney Lada is a Managing Partner at QLK; as such, she leads teams through the entire search process, from business development to offer negotiation, with a focus on communication and collaboration, analysis, and strategy. Having joined the firm in early 2007, Courtney is one of its longest-tenured consultants, and has successfully completed over 100 executive-level searches. Recognized by both colleagues and clients for her commitment to excellence, Courtney is regularly called upon to manage the most complex assignments. Her clients benefit from the vast network of connections she has developed over the course of her career, and from the knowledge base she possesses as a result of the diverse portfolio she has managed. Courtney predominantly serves clients in the healthcare space – including hospitals, health systems, medical groups, health plans and insurance providers, and associations – and her recruitment experience has spanned the full spectrum of administrative functions, from chief executives and board members to senior leaders in compliance, finance, fundraising and foundations, human resources, information technology, legal affairs, marketing, medical affairs, nursing, pharmacy, population health, quality, strategy and business development, and an assortment of operational and clinical departments. As a result, the level of expertise she brings to an assignment is tremendous, and she has led some of QLK’s most notable searches. In addition to her strong presence in the not-for-profit sector, Courtney has gained significant exposure to large, for-profit, Fortune 500 companies, such as airlines, financial service providers, technology giants, and pharmaceutical companies, as the changing face of health care has mandated a push for nontraditional candidates who bring an alternative perspective to their roles. Courtney’s approach and style make her a stand-out in her field; in fact, her clients frequently cite her consultative and highly informed leadership as key to their repeat business with the firm. Courtney’s background in applied psychology, with a focus on behavioral interviewing and counseling, gives her a unique perspective and advantage in executive search. Longtime residents of Chicago’s Northwest side, Courtney and her husband, Erik, are active in community development efforts and with child advocacy initiatives. Courtney is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County, and she serves as Chair of the Personnel Committee.
