Jake Barto

Jake Barto is a Managing Partner with Quick Leonard Kieffer, working closely with clients, candidates, and QLK colleagues to achieve successful placements that align leadership talent with organizational needs. He has established himself as a strong partner who recognizes the critical importance of clear communication and consistently implements this philosophy in every search he manages, engaging all key stakeholders to accomplish a mutually satisfying outcome. Those who have worked with Jake have noted their appreciation for his transparency and forthrightness through each step of the process. Jake joined Quick Leonard Kieffer in 2009, taking on increasing responsibility until stepping into his current position in 2016. During this time, he has conducted an impressive breadth of searches for health systems, community hospitals, large academic medical centers, healthcare associations, and medical groups, as well as for the senior living sector. Although his career has encompassed engagements with clients and candidates across the country, he has built a particularly strong presence for himself and for the firm in the Southeast, including leading the searches for the top executives of the North Carolina Healthcare Association and the Alabama Hospital Association. Prior to joining QLK, Jake worked with a well-established search firm in the Chicago suburbs, specializing in medical device, pharmaceutical, and healthcare assignments. He holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Healthcare Financial Management Association, The American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, American Society of Association Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives, and Association Forum. Jake and his wife Becca currently reside in the suburbs of Chicago with their three children – Jack, Camden, and Josie.
