Lucas Group Strengthens Accounting and Finance Practice

January 16, 2019 – Atlanta, GA-headquartered executive search firm Lucas Group has expanded with the addition of Madison Berney as managing partner for its accounting and finance practice in Denver, CO. She will lead a team of accounting and finance recruiters as they look to meet the evolving demand of clients and candidates in the booming Denver job market.

According to Forbes’ 2018 list of the best cities for jobs, Denver ranked No. 12 nationally with 2.3 percent job growth in 2017. Another study from Ladders, a career site for high-wage positions, reported employers across metro Denver recently listed nearly 6,000 jobs with salaries of $100,000 or more, with a concentration in accounting and finance roles.

“We are excited to have Madison lead the division’s Denver branch with her expertise in the complete lifecycle of the recruitment process and a proven dedication to clients,” said Bob Prather, general manager of Lucas Group’s accounting and finance division. “As Colorado’s leading executive search firm assisting companies and job seekers to find ideal talent matches, Madison and her team will play a vital, consultative role in helping our partners reach their business needs and candidates achieve their career goals.”

Ms. Berney brings more than six years of sales and executive recruiting experience, including partnerships with companies ranging in size from $10 million to $46 billion in annual revenue. Previously, she served as managing director of executive recruiting for Creative Financial Staffing and was a key player in securing more than $1.5 million for placements.

“Lucas Group’s strength is in combining a deep understanding of the local market with the resources of a national search agency,” Mr. Prather said. “As the Denver workforce continues to thrive and attract top talent, including the recent influx of Millennials to the region, Lucas Group will seek new avenues for growth and success as well.”
