Lucas Group Appoints Digital Strategy Leader

January 30, 2020 – Atlanta, GA-headquartered executive search firm Lucas Group has expanded with the addition of Stephen Todd Duclos as vice president of digital strategy. Mr. Duclos brings a track record of digital innovation and change management with expertise in the technology recruitment space.
“Todd will accelerate our adoption of cutting-edge technologies that streamline the recruiter experience and amplify recruiter effectiveness,” said Mir Ali, chief information officer at Lucas Group. “As a respected influencer, engaged communicator and positive change agent, Todd is a key addition to our digital team and will be instrumental in driving success for our recruiters and clients.”
Mr. Duclos has over 15 years of experience overseeing digital technology integrations and strategic partnerships that align marketing, global sales, operations and business intelligence. Before joining Lucas Group, he worked for Bullhorn as the director for enterprise alliances and Salesforce.com, driving business development efforts through new partner acquisitions. He also served as vice president of innovation strategy at Randstad USA, where he drove new product acquisition, development and adoption of products that deliver cutting-edge technologies.
In his new role, Mr. Duclos will oversee strategic sourcing and relationship management with a focus on candidate attraction and engagement, digital media tools and other innovative process improvements. In concert with Lucas Group’s CIO, he will also create a new analytic framework to measure digital marketing effectiveness.
“In 2020, Lucas Group is committed to ambitious technology partnerships,” said Mr. Duclos. “I’m excited to ensure our recruiters realize the full benefit of these partnerships, unlocking competitive advantages that increase market share and amplify success.”
Versatile Recruiters
Lucas Group works with mid-tier to Fortune 500 clients in consumer products, energy (oil, gas, chemicals and alternatives), aerospace and defense, call center and customer services, global supply chain management, industrial products, food and beverage, and biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device services. In addition to serving the legal sector the firm’s practice groups includes accounting and finance, human resources, IT, manufacturing, legal, sales and marketing, and military transition. It has more than 300 affiliate recruiters in offices throughout the U.S.
In December, Lucas Group added four new managers to lead teams in its accounting and finance and human resources practice areas. The new managers are: Jessica Lalka, accounting and finance managing partner, Denver; Mark Lewis, accounting and finance contract branch manager, Los Angeles; Collin Miller, accounting and finance contract branch manager, Washington, D.C.; and Donald Walker, human resources contract branch manager, Washington, D.C.
“Collin, Donald, Jessica and Mark are proven leaders committed to making successful partnerships for our clients and candidates,” said Carolina King, Lucas Group’s chief people officer. “Their leadership will continue to allow our clients to find superior executive talent.”
Last August, Lucas Group appointed Randy Marmon as president and CEO. He succeeded Andi Jennings, who has led the firm since 2009 and remains a member of Lucas Group’s board of directors and a principal company consultant. In an unusual twist, Mr. Marmon’s appointment followed a comprehensive search that was conducted by Heidrick & Struggles and spearheaded by Ms. Jennings and Ms. King on behalf of Lucas Group’s board of directors.
“From my first day on the job as a sales and marketing recruiter in 1977 to the last decade as president and CEO, I’ve dedicated my career to ensuring Lucas Group remained the nation’s leader in executive recruiting through unwavering customer focus,” said Ms. Jennings. “This has been an incredible journey for me. I am proud to pass the privilege of leading Lucas Group on to Randy, whose reputation and accomplishments – both professional and personal – truly speak for themselves.”
