La Fosse Associates Names Head of Technology Recruitment

February 22, 2019 – U.K.-headquartered executive search firm La Fosse Associates has continued its recent expansion with the addition of Adam Gohar in New York as senior vice president and head of technology recruitment.

Since opening in October of last year, La Fosse New York has seemingly gone from strength to strength, led by Johnnie Greenwood, head of U.S. With an established executive network and strong track record in the New York area, the team has been partnering with high-growth tech businesses, VC and private equity to build executive teams and long-term relationships within the tech community.

Mr. Gohar is an experienced recruitment leader in the U.S. technology staffing industry, recruiting across the technology and digital spectrum. He brings seven years of experience and a broad network across both the East and West coasts, having previously co-founded his own agency based in LA.

“La Fosse was founded on the idea that treating people well isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s also the best way to do business,” said Mr. Greenwood. “We take this approach across our entire service portfolio, which covers technology, digital and change recruitment at all levels from the board down. We are confident this top-to-bottom structure is the best way to support our increasingly international client base.”

“Adam’s expertise adds significantly to our capabilities, helping us provide an even better service to our clients and candidates,” he said. “As importantly, he shares our values and long term view.”

In his new role at La Fosse, Mr. Gohar will be partnering with both start-ups and established enterprises looking to build out their tech capabilities.

“La Fosse is a staffing agency with a difference,” Mr. Gohar said. “I was attracted to their values-led approach and co-ownership structure, and the way in which this has facilitated rapid international growth. They have already made a name for themselves in the New York market, and have ambitious plans for the future. I look forward to building on their high-quality reputation to provide exceptional service for U.S.-based businesses, as well as U.K. businesses looking to build teams across the pond,” he says.

Growing Search Firm

La Fosse is co-owned, with 40 percent of equity being gifted to staff over time. The firm has a compound annual growth rate of 38.2 percent, more than three times the industry average, said La Fosse. The firm recruits across a range of areas: executive leadership; interim management; change and transformation; digital and development; ERP and CRM systems; information and cybersecurity; strategy and architecture; BI, data and analytics; private equity; and VC-backed start-ups.

Recently, the firm opened a life sciences division. Veteran recruiters Stephanie Murtagh and Leslie Reeves joined the firm to lead the new practice as managing director and client services director, respectively. Both have extensive industry expertise and a proven track record of developing and scaling teams at pace. Since joining La Fosse, they have recruited what the firm describes as a strong team of experienced recruiters with track records across a number of specialties, including global pharma, biotech, CROs and medical devices.

La Fosse Associates also recently announced the introduction of a new division placing chairman and non-executive director (NED) roles. The division is led by Jack Denison, who will be working with Louis Rado, founder of the NED Network. The team is working with clients across various industries, particularly in private equity. They are currently engaged on a number of assignments, said the firm, including a chairman role at a high-profile FTSE 250 business.

“We’ve seen a remarkable demand, reflecting the value chairmen and non-executive directors add in both fast-growing young firms and established players,” said Mr. Denison. “With the increasing success of our Interim function, establishing this practice was the next logical step. It will allow us to continue providing our clients with the best possible assistance in a competitive market and we are looking forward to the challenge.”
