Howard Fischer Associates Places Chief Marketing Officer at Entercom

March 10, 2016 – Executive search firm Howard Fischer Associates (HFA) has placed Ruth Gaviria as chief marketing officer of Entercom Communications.

Ms. Gaviria was previously executive vice president of corporate marketing at Univision (UCI), where she structured an integrated marketing organization, directed the brand strategy and architecture for the company’s portfolio of brands, developed an audience strategy and executed three highly successful Upfront presentations on the road to the company’s intended IPO.

Prior to UCI, she served as VP of Hispanic ventures at Meredith Corporation, where she profitably expanded Meredith’s reach by creating and launching magazines, custom publishing and digital sites to serve a growing Hispanic audience in the U.S.

Throughout her career, Ms. Gaviria has also held sales and marketing positions at Time Inc., Miller Brewing Company, Colgate Palmolive and Procter and Gamble. She has been recognized with many awards, including Fast Company’s Top 100 Most Creative People, Ad Age’s Top Women to Watch, Cable Fax’s Most Powerful Women in Cable and Ad Age’s Top 100 Marketers.
