HARTZ Search Seeking Chief Revenue Officer for Geisinger

September 17, 2026 – Charlotte, NC-based HARTZ Search was recently retained by Geisinger to lead in its search for a chief revenue officer. This executive will direct, manage, and implement programs to ensure efficient revenue management operations and sufficient cash flow to support Geisinger operations and strategic initiatives. The role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, reducing, and resolving revenue management issues associated with hospital and professional accounts receivable.

The CRO will manage all hospital and professional revenue cycle functions, including patient access, coding, charge entry, hospital billing, professional billing, accounts receivable resolution and reconciliation, administrative services, revenue integrity and optimization, compliance, and physician credentialing.

Candidates applying for this position should have minimum of 10 years of healthcare and leadership experience. The CRO will have centralized leadership for all clinical enterprise revenue cycle functions, including hospital and professional revenue cycle and utilization management.

Based in in Danville, PA, Geisinger comprises 10 hospital campuses, two research centers, a college of health sciences, a school of nursing, and a 600,000+ member health plan serving more than three million residents in central, south-central, and northeast Pennsylvania and beyond. There are approximately 26,500 employees, including over 1,700 employed physicians, all of whom share a commitment to quality healthcare.

HARTZ Search recently helped to recruit Bill Bellando as executive vice president and chief information officer of Geisinger. He joined Geisinger after serving as senior vice president and chief information officer at Georgia-based Wellstar Health System from 2022 to 2026. In this role, Mr. Bellando oversaw information technology and digital initiatives across the health system.

He joins Geisinger from The Guthrie Clinic where he was the EVP and CFO since 2021. At Guthrie, Mr. Huff played a key role in executing several M&A opportunities, a complete revenue cycle modernization, and the creation of foundational processes around financial stewardship.
