May 4, 2018 – Australian executive search firm Fisher Leadership has been enlisted by Blackburn, Victoria-based Multiple Sclerosis Ltd. to lead its search for a new CEO. Managing partner Liz Jones is spearheading the search for someone to “lead the organization through its next significant stage of transformation and growth,” said the recruitment firm.

The new CEO will be charged with leading the group toward adapting and responding to the changing landscape in providing health services while delivering on its strategic plan. Ensuring a commercial approach and further strengthening relationships with government, health, community and corporate agencies are central to this position, said Fisher Leadership.

The CEO will be expected to represent and advocate for the interests of those with multiple sclerosis and their caretakers and will focus on developing funding partnerships and programs that are in alignment with the organization’s vision, mission and values.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a values based and experienced leader with a proven ability in shaping a consumer-oriented organization, guiding culture change, strategic planning, advocacy, driving innovation and influencing key initiatives with a diverse range of stakeholders, said the search firm. The individual should have highly developed emotional, analytical and presentation skills as well as energy and enthusiasm. Commercial and financial management experience are essential to the role as are excellent communication skills.

Ms. Jones, who joined Fisher Leadership in 2010, handles executive appointments at the most senior levels across all sectors and specializes in the retail and consumer sectors. Among her contributions, she has helped to grow the firm’s health and life sciences and established and expanded the national independent school practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Jones spent 12 years as a senior consultant with a large international executive search firm and was responsible for managing the retail/FMCG practice. She has placed such roles as: general manager merchandise, general manager marketing, country manager and general manager.
