EFL Associates Recruits Executive Director for WorldDenver

May 22, 2019 – Denver-based search firm EFL Associates has placed Tiffani Lennon as the new executive director for WorldDenver, a non-profit community organization dedicated to understanding world affairs and cultures. She succeeds WorldDenver’s founder Karen de Bartolomé, who is retiring after having created the organization seven years ago. Daniel J. Cummings, the firm’s senior vice president and managing director led the assignment.

“We have found an experienced and passionate executive in Tiffani,” said Ms. de Bartolomé. “As she and the WorldDenver board team up to deepen and expand WorldDenver’s impact, I commit to ensure a seamless transition for our members, our staff and our partners. Our vision has always been to build a community of Colorado citizens and companies who are curious to learn more about the world and their connection to it.”

“WorldDenver creates opportunities to actualize global citizenship through continuous learning and personal diplomacy,” she said. “Confident that our future is bright, I am thrilled to see what’s next for WorldDenver under Tiffani’s leadership.”

Kim Savit, board chair of World Denver, said the leadership transition was a critical step. “We could not be more excited to attract someone of Tiffani’s caliber,” said Ms. Savit. “Her fundraising strengths, strategic mindset and passion for the mission make her a great fit for us as we open the next chapter of WorldDenver’s story. On behalf of the entire board, we look forward to working closely with Tiffani and the dedicated staff to continue to strengthen and expand the community of engaged global citizens and organizations.”

Ms. Lennon brings to the position strong academic credentials, executive leadership and fundraising capability, as well as international program development experience. Since 2017, she has served as president and CEO of the Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation. Before that, she was vice president of strategic development for Ability Connection Colorado (ACCO). From 2007 to 2014, Ms. Lennon was the department chair and assistant dean of special projects at the University of Denver, where she developed several international study and exchange programs.

“I am very excited to lead WorldDenver because it represents a unique opportunity to combine my personal and professional interests in international education and cross-cultural exchange,” Ms. Lennon said. “I am eager to leverage my expertise to help grow and expand the community of engaged citizenry that has been fostered so thoughtfully over the past several years by Karen and her team. WorldDenver has become a treasured institution in Denver and I look forward to building on the tremendous foundation that has already been established.”
