Vetted Solutions Seeks New Leader for the Society for Imaging Informatics In Medicine

September 21, 2017 – Executive search firm Vetted Solutions LLC has been selected by the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) in Leesburg, VA, to lead its search for a new executive director. Vetted Solutions president and founder Jim Zaniello and vice president Nancy Green are spearheading the assignment.

The new executive director, the recruiter said, is expected to work with the board, staff and members to expand SIIM’s role as a resource for imaging professionals interested in the current and future use of technologies for image and information and interpretation and management.

Working closely with the SIIM chair and reporting to an 11-member board of directors, the executive director will oversee management of the organization. The role includes oversight in a wide range of areas, including education, industry interaction, an online engagement platform, the peer reviewed Journal of Digital Imaging, a flagship annual meeting, regional conferences, advocacy, and research support.

SIIM, which has a staff of seven, has an annual budget of $1.5 million. The ideal executive director will supervise, motivate and mentor SIIM staff in a team-oriented, innovative, and highly productive environment, said Vetted Solutions. He or she is expected to assist the SIIM board to identify the organization’s strategic priorities and help translate those priorities into actions.

The Right Fit

The incoming executive must have at least seven years of executive-level work experience in progressive, complex organizations, with demonstrated success in leading, planning and organizing operations, according to the recruiter. Financial management expertise and the initiative to expand membership, enhance existing businesses, and identify viable new sources of non-dues revenue is also essential.

The executive director should also be a high-energy, creative leader with excellent communication skills and strong focus on people, the firm said.
