Alexander Hughes Makes Leadership Changes in Kuala Lumper
November 28, 2018 – Alexander Hughes has made leadership changes in its operations in Kuala Lumpur, adding Narinder Kaur as managing partner. The Malaysian office was established two years ago.
It is one of the firm’s six offices in Asia Pacific along with Shanghai, Hong Kong, New Delhi, Sydney and Singapore.
Ms. Kaur is charged with further developing Alexander Hughes’ footprint in Malaysia through the identification of new business opportunities, in close collaboration with Rakesh Sood, a veteran professional recently appointed as client partner.
These strategic hires signal Alexander Hughes’ plans to strengthen its presence in one of the world’s fastest growing regions. “Acting as true partners, Narinder and Rakesh will leverage their diverse experiences and in-depth local and international expertise to contribute to the success of a growing base of partners and clients in the country,” the firm said.
“Our global clients are very upbeat about expanding their businesses into Southeast Asia and Kuala Lumpur is the ideal strategic location to accompany them in the region,” said Julien Rozet, CEO of Alexander Hughes. “Having a highly skilled local team is a great asset both for our company and our clients.”
One of the latest assignments that Alexander Hughes executed in Malaysia was an extensive cross-border pan-Asia search for a global fintech leader. The firm said that this experience reinforced the confidence in Malaysian organizations and their openness to global talent while establishing Alexander Hughes’ ability to provide access to a global pool of talent. Alexander Hughes is also known to have worked with global clients, such as Sanofi-Aventis, Peugeot, L’Oréal, Vinci and Technip, which have a presence in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
