April 21, 2021 – Executive search consultants are seeing an increase in hiring mandates from around the world. To meet demand, they continue to develop new practices, hire new recruiters and open new locations. Global recruiting consortiums, meanwhile, are taking advantage of a resurgence in certain geographic areas. TRANSEARCH International Partners recently opened new offices in Singapore in an effort to strengthen its presence in the East.
The Singapore office is led by Seck Wee Tan, who has experience in various industry segments primarily in the lifestyle category. During his career he has gained knowledge in FMCG, retail, advertising and media, consumer electronics, fashion and cosmetics, alcoholic beverages, telecommunications and E-commerce. Mr. Tan will be responsible for growing the team in Singapore and bring valuable experience to the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Tan has served in senior leadership positions in notable companies, with regional coverage responsibilities across key markets within the Asia Pacific region. Within a career history spanning almost 40 years, he has worked with household brands and related companies, including MediaCorp, Singtel, Eastman Kodak Company, Mattel Toys, Metro Department Stores, L’Oreal, and Asia Pacific Breweries, holding either general or senior management responsibilities.
Singapore sits at the crossroads of the world’s largest and fastest growing region straddling China, India and the ASEAN countries. A modern cosmopolitan city with a strong reputation as a major player in the global economic map, Singapore is a regional hub to large U.S. and European multinational corporations as well as headquarters to numerous growing enterprises in the technology, financial services and healthcare sectors.
TRANSEARCH is a global search firm with representation in all of the major economic capitals, with about 60 offices in over 35 countries. It was founded in 1982 and today completes more than 1,500 senior executive search assignments a year. Its global client base is in the financial services, technology, consumer and retail, life sciences, and industrial and resources sectors.
TRANSEARCH recently added Miami-based executive search firm XTLNT. The firm is led by Alfonso Goyeneche. Established in 2019, XTLNT serves clients across the U.S. and Latin America, partnering with local and international companies expanding into new markets. Mr. Goyeneche was a partner with a global executive search firm Amrop from 2012 to 2018 heading up financial services. He also has a strong focus on industrial, infrastructure and media. “The USA remains a crucial market for us and as we continue to grow our team, we are delighted to welcome Alfonso and his team with great enthusiasm,” said Celeste Whatley, CEO of TRANSEARCH International Partners.
TRANSEARCH also added a new office in Shanghai with the addition of Carren Shi as managing partner, great China regions. Ms. Shi is a cross-border leadership acquisition and development consultant and business partner with over 20 years of experience in consumer, life science, healthcare and industrial sectors. Previously, Ms. Shi was founder and managing partner for TRUST – Human Capital Solutions, with full P&L responsibilities based in Shanghai and Beijing since 2009.
“Ms. Shi is perceived by her clients as the industry and market expert, a committed and quality-driven consultant, a strategic and resourceful business partner, and an advocate for their employer’s branding for leadership attraction, retention and development,” TRANSEARCH said. “The candidates, on the other hand, consider Carren as a trust-worthy, honest, out-spoken, knowledgeable and professional career advisor.”
