Demeter Global Search & Board Advisers Adds Former CTPartners Recruiters

November 6, 2015 – Former CTPartners recruiters Andrew Crawford and Marc Quinton have joined U.K. headquartered Demeter Global Search & Board Advisers as partners.

Mr. Crawford was previously a partner at CTPartners where he was a member of the firm’s TMT practice. He focuses specifically on digital and media clients. Recently he has been  responsible for a number of appointments, including U.K. marketing director for one of the world’s largest e-commerce companies; strategy director EMEA for the world’s biggest online payments company; and CEO for an early stage m-commerce business. Mr. Crawford formerly served as a consultant and head of operations at Amrop Augmentum. He also gained executive search experience serving as a consultant with Augmentum Consulting.

With 17 years of executive search experience, Mr. Quinton was most recently a leader in the global CFO practice at CTPartners. His clients include leading multinationals, mid-cap corporations and VC/PE-funded ventures. He specializes in the hiring of CFOs and their direct reports and has recently been responsible for a number of high profile appointments, including CFO of a FTSE 250 retail group; CFO of a private equity-backed technology company; divisional CFO for a global healthcare provider; regional CFO for a FTSE 250 telecoms organization; and CFO for a privately-held sport and leisure group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Quinton was head of practice at multifunctional international boutique executive search firm Redgrave Partners. He also spent seven years as a consultant with Michael Page.

“I am delighted that Andrew and Marc have agreed to join Demeter. They both have a wealth of experience in executive search and share my philosophy of always putting the client first, rather than the interests of external shareholders,” said managing partner Andy Davies.

Demeter is an executive search and board advisory firm comprised of search professionals with a wide spectrum of knowledge spanning FTSE board appointments, private equity and venture capital-backed businesses, and privately owned entities. The firm serves the telecommunications/technology, financial services (including retail banking, investment banking, insurance and payments), retail/consumer, and the professional services industries. The Demeter team has represented clients in over 20 countries and they work closely with three sister companies in Germany, North America and Singapore.

A number of former CTPartners recruiters from the U.K. have joined competing search firms. Just yesterday, Sheffield Haworth hired former CTPartners recruiter Mark Dixon in London as a managing director in its global technology practice. He previously led CTPartners’ CIO practice across Europe and Asia.

In October, Wilton & Bain added Tim Kemp as a partner. Mr. Kemp spent more than two years with CTPartners where he served as a partner and led the firm’s European HR practice.

Earlier this year, former CTPartners recruiter Paul Aldrich joined Odgers Berndtson in London and Sarah Lim, former head of CTPartners EMEA retail sector in London, joined Korn Ferry.
