StevenDouglas Continues Expansion

January 27, 2017 – Executive search firm StevenDouglas has expanded with the opening of a new office in Raleigh, NC and the addition of Jonathan Stiegler to lead its new finance and accounting practice in New York.

Senior vice president Jon Bolton will be providing leadership to the new Raleigh office. He also currently heads the firm’s New York office. His expertise has been gained through 13 years of recruiting for clients around the country. He will be joined by senior recruiter Shane Bermingham.

“We are excited to enter the Raleigh market,” said Mr. Bolton. “This expansion is in direct response to continued requests from existing clients with significant presence in the local market. Our office here will help us leverage the area’s diverse technology talent pool and expand our client footprint in the Research Triangle.”

Raleigh’s industrial base includes organizations in banking / financial services; electrical, medical, electronic and telecommunications equipment; clothing and apparel; food processing; paper products; and pharmaceuticals. Raleigh is part of North Carolina’s Research Triangle, one of the country’s largest and most successful research parks, and it is a major center for high-tech and biotech research, as well as advanced textile development.

“The New York office of StevenDouglas has been providing its clients access to talent both on a search and interim basis primarily within the IT space for over 10 years,” said Mark Viner, president of its interim resources division. “This is a strategic hire for our firm as it is in direct response to continual client requests for important project assistance and permanent hiring within their accounting and finance departments. We welcome Jon’s extensive experience in this area to immediately help serve our clients in these areas.”

New Brand Identity

The expansion follows the firm’s recent unveiling of a new brand and image campaign, which includes a newly designed logo, tagline and website to support its evolution as a leading search and interim resources solutions firm.

“Our new brand identity reinforces the StevenDouglas commitment to provide access to the very best talent, whether on a search or interim basis, in order to meet our clients’ needs,” said StevenDouglas president Matt Shore. “Our new logo and tagline, ‘Where talent meets opportunity,’ depicts how our firm is at the intersection where great companies and exceptional candidates meet and new opportunities are created. We are very excited about our new look.”

In October, the firm launched a dedicated Latin America search practice and added Juan Moreno as vice president for the region. Mr. Moreno brings extensive executive search experience with an in-depth understanding of the issues affecting and impacting Latin America. His background includes building management teams for a wide variety of companies in the industrial, manufacturing, financial and natural resources industries in both Latin America and Mexico.

StevenDouglas also recently named Vivian Gonzalez-Padilla as managing director, search division, for central Florida. She has over 13 years of experience in executive search with a specialty in accounting and finance recruiting. She focuses on providing search services for mid-market to Fortune 500 companies in the areas of accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and finance from mid-level management to C-level executives. Prior to joining Steven Douglas, Ms. Gonzalez-Padilla managed boutique search firm Tews Company.

In addition, the firm opened a new office in Baltimore. Managing director Matthew Beck transferred from its Florida office to lead the new location. Mr. Beck has been with the firm for over four years and has been instrumental in the firm’s growth. He has a track record of delivering mid management to executive level talent to various organizations, including small concerns to Fortune 500 companies throughout South Florida.
