Stanton Chase Forms Alliance with Nasdaq Boardvantage

November 14, 2019 – Although boards of directors are considered the backbones of organizations, director recruiting has grown markedly more challenging, say recruiters who conduct searches in that area. As a result, companies continue to turn to executive search firms to help find new board members.

Recently, Baltimore, MD-headquartered Stanton Chase formed a partnership with Nasdaq Boardvantage to serve as the firm’s preferred board portal platform. This collaboration will bring together the Nasdaq Boardvantage software solutions with Stanton Chase executive search expertise, adding more value to an already extensive portfolio of corporate governance and board leadership services.

“We are delighted to join forces with Nasdaq,” said Panos Manolopoulos, Stanton Chase global leader for board services. ”We have seen our board services offerings grow around the world in recent years, and this will bring even more robust solutions to both our clients and theirs.”

“In addition to being able to offer access to Nasdaq’s award-winning software, companies may benefit from comprehensive resources, including best practice tools for effective board performance and insights on current issues and trends in the industry,” Stanton Chase said. “This alignment broadens the scope of the Stanton Chase client community as Nasdaq Boardvantage is used and trusted by over 150,000 users worldwide.”

Built to meet the needs of the corporate secretary, general counsel and meeting administrators, Nasdaq Boardvantage offers a flexible and user-friendly interface with added security to help increase productivity during and in between meetings. It allows board directors to manage tasks inside and outside the boardroom. Board directors and senior executives get easy sign-on with biometric ID, intuitive notification and collaboration tools, and a suite of governance support services.

Landing a Board Role Promises Rewards, Challenges
Board service can be one of the most rewarding career experiences: It’s the opportunity to see first-hand how another company operates at the highest levels and to work with – and learn from – accomplished, articulate, and intelligent people. It’s why many leaders decide to start down the path to the boardroom. It’s also why the number of qualified boardroom candidates outweighs the number of board seats available in a given year.

Nearly half of the Fortune 500 and hundreds of foundations, associations, hospitals, higher educational institutions and non-profits use Nasdaq Boardvantage, according to the company.

Serving Corporate Boards

Corporate boards have achieved much over the last 20 years; nonetheless, they recognize that boardroom practices must remain flexible and dynamic to allow their corporations to survive and thrive in rapidly changing markets, said Stanton Chase. “Being a board member today is about active leadership, personal accountability and senior executive coaching,” the firm said. “Strong, dedicated board members are critical for making a positive difference to the organizations on whose boards they serve. The global board services practice at Stanton Chase is about making our clients’ boards better as a result of our interaction, and making sure that impact lasts in our absence.”
