SmartRecruiters Appoints Chief Marketing Officer
January 14, 2022 – SmartRecruiters has named Mark Jewett as chief marketing officer. He brings more than 20 years of experience in technology, products, strategy, marketing and operations. He will oversee all aspects of global marketing including product marketing, demand generation and branding. “Mark has a strong track record of creating and executing strategies to take products to the next level,” said Jerome Ternynck, founder and CEO of SmartRecruiters. “With his demonstrated expertise in building and scaling high performing marketing teams, Mark will play a critical role in driving brand awareness and advocacy, and growing our overall business.”
Mr. Jewett was most recently SVP of product and partner marketing for Tableau at Salesforce. Previously, he spent 15 years at Microsoft as a leader in the Azure and SQL Server business units. With more than two decades in technology, his experience spans enterprise applications, data and analytics, and cloud computing. Before Microsoft, he was a product line manager at Siebel Systems and a director of technology at several high-tech start-ups.

Recent Funding
SmartRecruiters recently closed a $110 million Series E round led by Silver Lake Waterman with participation from existing investors Insight Partners and Mayfield Fund. She will oversee the global people function, including hiring success, diversity, culture and CSR initiatives.
SmartRecruiters also recently added Rachel Orston as chief customer officer, to lead all post-sales functions and help customers achieve hiring success across their organizations. She is charged with managing all professional services, customer success and customer support teams. She joined SmartRecruiters with expertise as a serial entrepreneur, tech executive and customer success pioneer. She has spent many years helping companies of all sizes grow exponentially, from $1 million to $1 billion and beyond. In her previous role as chief customer officer at BetterCloud, a hyper-growth SaaS operations management company, she led customer experience activities across the organization and execution across its customer success, services and support teams.
