Slone Partners Expands Into California
September 6, 2017 – Executive search firm Slone Partners has created a corporate Western division and related expansion activities throughout California. The strategic initiative, overseen by Slone Partners president Tara Kochis-Stach, is designed to better allow the firm to service dozens of California-based clients, develop relationships with next generation start-ups, and capitalize on California’s continued growth as a healthcare innovation hub.
The expansion calls for relocation of company senior personnel and is expected to drive the firm’s activities in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and San Francisco, which together comprise the bulk of the U.S. healthcare industry market, according to Slone Partners.
The firm, which has been active in California since 2000, will establish a new division-based corporate structure and geo-presence led by CEO Leslie Loveless, founder Adam Slone, Ms. Kochis-Stach, supported by dozens of executive recruiters and support staff. Slone Partners clients range from private equity and venture capitalist firms with healthcare portfolios to some of the top organizations in the healthcare industry.

Healthcare Innovation Hub
Both Northern and Southern California are home to hundreds of life sciences, diagnostics, precision medicine, laboratory testing and healthcare information technology service providers. Together, these teams develop advances in next generation diagnostics, precision medicine, and biopharmaceuticals. Slone Partners conducts searches for C-level leadership, executive management and senior scientific personnel.
“With more than half of all life science venture capital investment dollars in the U.S. going to California companies and double the life science employees in other states, it is clear the dedication to science and innovation here is stronger than ever,” said Ms. Loveless. “After already serving the California market for 17 years, the time is now for Slone partners to establish a physical presence in California. This reinforces our commanding position in national executive recruitment services for life sciences, diagnostics, and precision medicine.”
“With this move, we are scaling our executive search team to prepare for the increase in partnerships, ensuring a quality experience that exceeds expectations for both clients and candidates,” she said. “These companies and the patients our clients serve need and deserve the best science and business leaders to execute on their missions. We are experienced in bringing this exceptional talent to our clients and look forward to many new partnerships in the Golden State.”
