Recruiters Acquire Equity Stake In Stanton Chase Los Angeles
June 1, 2016 – Stanton Chase International’s managing director Edward Savage has announced that Sadovnick Partners’ CEO Mark Sadovnick along with Stanton Chase director Peter Deragon have acquired an equity interest in the Los Angeles office of the firm. Both will form a significant part of its new leadership team.
In a joint statement, Messers Sadovnick and Deragon said: “Ed provides the leadership of experience, long standing relationships and consistent growth. Our partnership over the next years will contribute an invaluable foundation upon which we can together assist and contribute value to our clients now and in the future.”
Mr. Sadovnick, once recognized by BusinessWeek as one of the world’s most influential search consultants, founded Sadovnick Partners in 2007. The firm serves a number of industries, including private equity; technology; financial services & wealth management; sustainability, renewable energy & clean tech; engineering; healthcare; agribusiness; manufacturing; leisure, sports & entertainment; and non-profit.

Mr. Deragon is a search professional with over 30 years of experience in the investment and financial services industries. He serves as North American financial services industry practice leader at Stanton Chase. He has also conducted a number of key searches for clients in the supply chain, logistics and transportation sector. Prior to joining Stanton Chase in 2008, he served as president of Deragon Executive Search.
Mr. Savage is a founding member of Stanton Chase Los Angeles and formerly served as chairman of the firm’s U.S. operations. He previously co-founded and was COO of Kors Marlar Savage & Associates, and served as vice president / managing partner and member of the executive committee for Korn Ferry in Los Angeles.
Stanton Chase has made several additions to its staff in recent months:
- The firm opened a new office in Detroit to serve its corporate clients in the manufacturing, automotive, commercial vehicle, and defense industries. Rich Kolpasky, a veteran search consultant and former senior executive in the automotive sector, heads up the office there as managing director. He previously served in various positions with Korn Ferry and Boyden;
- Stanton Chase named Will Pleva as a partner and sector leader for its global supply chain and strategic sourcing practice in New York. With 25 years of search experience he has conducted more than 500 supply chain and strategic sourcing engagements across a variety of sectors. Since 1983, Mr. Pleva has been with Leslie Kavanagh Associates, a boutique search firm specializing in recruiting global supply chain, strategic sourcing and program management leaders;
- The firm recently added Dickson Smith, John DiBenedetto and Robert Mulligan to its Boston office. Mr. Smith, who became managing director, has 25 years of executive search experience specializing in the recruitment of financial services professionals. Mr. DiBenedetto brings financial services experience having worked in the asset management space in both New York and Boston. Mr. Mulligan joined as an advisory director with 28 years of experience in the sale and distribution of investment vehicles.
