Evelyn K. Savage is Vice President at Vetted Solutions, a Washington, D.C.-based executive search firm specializing in serving the leadership needs of associations, nonprofit organizations, hospitality and destination marketing industries nationwide. Evelyn is an experienced leader in the field of nursing and healthcare management in New Jersey. She served for 25 years as the President and CEO of the Visiting Nurses Association of Somerset Hills and its subsidiaries, including VNA of Somerset Hills Home Health and Hospice Services, VNA Community Health Services and Adult Day Center of the VNA of Somerset Hills. Savage worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the College of St. Elizabeth concurrent to her work at VNA. Savage served in two separate tenures as a nursing consultant for the New Jersey State Health Department. She was also the Director of Nursing Care at Cheshire Home Inc. and a Nursing Supervisor at the Community Nursing Service of Essex and W. Hudson. Prior to that she served as a public health nurse and staff nurse at several organizations for more than a decade at the beginning of her career. Savage is active on the Community Health Accreditation Program Board of Directors, where she has served as chair, vice chair and secretary. She is currently a Member of the Council of Aging Advisory Board and serves as an Editorial Board Member, Home Health Care Management and Practice. She has previously served on the Board of Trustees and Women’s Health Advisory Board for Somerset Medical Center, Home Health Care Management and Practice, Morristown Memorial Hospital Advisor Board, Center for Home Health Development, and the Governor’s Commission on the Nursing Shortage in New Jersey. Savage has received numerous awards for her nursing expertise and business savvy, including the Outstanding Businessperson Award by the Somerset County Business Partnership, the Somerset County Woman of Distinction in Healthcare, the Martha Esposito Award and the Nurse Administrator of the Year from the New Jersey State Nurses Association. Savage received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boston College, and her master’s degree in Nursing Administration from New York University. She is a registered nurse both in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
