NorthWind Partners Recruits Chief Growth Officer for Redhorse Corp.

September 14, 2022 – Chief growth officer is currently a hot C-level role, and while not every company has one, more of these positions are likely to emerge. According to recruiters, the CGO role itself is expanding and its popularity is rising, especially among professional services firms that understand client needs and who want to be front and center to achieve long-term revenue growth and stay competitive. The CGO, they report, is free to challenge the status quo in order to discover new pathways to growth. But the position holder also leads their organizations to a heightened sense of responsibility and purpose. Reston, VA-headquartered executive search firm NorthWind Partners recently helped to place Rob Sheen as chief growth officer of Redhorse Corp. Director Greg Pollack led the search.

“I am excited to have Rob Sheen join the Redhorse Corp.,” John Zangardi, CEO of Redhorse. “Rob will bring his deep expertise for integrating capabilities, operational concepts, and technology to drive growth initiatives through business capture and strategic planning.”

Mr. Sheen comes to Redhorse from Novetta, where he was SVP of client operations. In that role, he was responsible for customer mission success as the leader of the company’s information exploitation, cyber, and mission solutions teams, overseeing deployment, implementation, and all aspects of operational excellence in the customer space.

Prior to Novetta, Mr. Sheen held program manager roles overseeing mission-critical data analytics system implementations at companies such as Sapient and CACI. In 2011, he joined Novetta as program manager of defense intelligence. In that capacity, he oversaw the deployment of largescale data solutions for defense and intelligence customers. Operating at the center of Novetta’s leadership team, Mr. Sheen was pivotal in the company’s ongoing success, connecting business development to inspire product innovation, and leading mission-focused teams to achieve excellence in execution.

In his new role, Mr. Sheen will be responsible for managing the growth of Redhorse Corp. while working in collaboration with the chief financial officer, chief operating officer, and chief delivery officer. Together, they will develop measures supporting growth initiatives such as organizational alignment while forecasting customer needs. Specifically, Mr. Sheen will be responsible for developing, qualifying, and executing pipeline needs; identifying and assessing mergers and acquisition opportunities; and focusing on business development activities.
