Norman Broadbent Continues On With Expansion

March 8, 2017 – U.K.-headquartered recruiter Norman Broadbent has announced a series of appointments across its executive search, senior interim management, solutions and research & insight teams.

Neil Pilkington joins the firm’s TMT & digital practice to specialize in the CTO / CIO market. During his 20 year search career, Mr. Pilkington has handled assignments across insurance, construction, FMCG, retail, infrastructure, biotech, supply chain/logistics, retail financial services, transport and the public sector. Previously, he was a principal consultant with Harvey Nash.

Jonathan Stringer joins Norman Broadbent interim management as a director specializing in the finance function. During his 18 year career, Mr. Stringer has delivered multiple interim assignments across a broad range of industries globally. Most recently, he was an associate partner with Eton Bridge.

Andy Haldenby also joins Norman Broadbent interim management in a business development role working closely with the team and wider business to help identify new interim assignments. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Haldenby has built and run executive recruitment teams working with clients across the public and private sectors. He formerly served as a regional director with Hudson Global.

Tony Vickers joins Norman Broadbent: Solutions as its retail and consumer head of practice. During his 15 year search career, Mr. Vickers has worked on behalf of numerous established and high-growth retail brands across all key disciplines at mid to senior level and has a particular expertise in fashion and luxury brands. He most recently served as senior executive search consultant with Carmichael Fisher.

Phillippa Dunlop joins Norman Broadbent’s Research & Insight team where she will support the firm’s expanding TMT and digital practice. During the course of her 17 year career in research and search, Ms. Dunlop has delivered multiple executive search assignments for a range of clients, from large corporates through to smaller entrepreneurial businesses. She was previously a search consultant with PSD Group.

Use of Funding Capital

These appointments follow a £2.3 million funding round undertaken in September. The company’s senior leadership team now comprises heads of executive search, board search, senior interim management, insight and talent solutions, all of whom report to Mr. Brennan.

Just last month, the firm appointed Tim Hammett as managing partner and head of executive search. Mr. Hammett has a 17-year track record in the field and an in-depth knowledge of the C-level market. Most recently, he was a partner with Wilton & Bain in London. He entered search in 2000 and has worked at the senior levels with firms including Heidrick & Struggles, Whitehead Mann and Augmentum.

This past fall, the firm appointed Angela Hickmore as managing director of Norman Broadbent Interim. Ms. Hickmore has over 25 years in the recruitment industry and an in-depth knowledge of the senior level interim management sector. She previously served as a partner with BrightPool, the sister company to Interim Partners, a specialist recruitment firm operating in the financial and professional services markets.

It was just last year that Norman Broadbent named Mr. Brennan as its CEO. He has a wealth of experience built up over 20 years within the global executive recruitment market and more recently the broader recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) field. Previously, Mr. Brennan served as director and global client partner / global head of executive talent & competitive intelligence at Alexander Mann Solutions.
