NGS Global Adds Zavala Civitas in Brazil

September 27, 2019 – Executive search firm NGS Global has continued its recent expansion by adding executive search firm, Zavala Civitas. This bring offices in Spain, Mexico and Brazil to NGS.

Established in 2002, Zavala Civitas, led by director and owner Lorenzo Zavala, offers professional advisory and executive search services. The firm has completed more than 800 searches for Spanish and European companies, mostly based in Germany, Southern Europe, America and Latin America.

Mr. Zavala has over 30 years of executive search and leadership consulting experience advising multinational corporations aiming to expand operations into other countries and business sectors. Earlier in his career, he was managing director at Russell Reynolds Associates.

Mr. Zavala is joined by partners Deborah Mabama in Mexico City; Fernando de Zavala, who will head the Barcelona office; Luis Trevino co-leading the Madrid office with Almudena Jado, who is splitting her time between the Madrid and Mexico City offices; and Juliana Camargo, managing the São Paulo office.

Ms. Mabama has over 20 years of experience in executive search, evaluating and attracting local and international high-end talent in Mexico and Latin America. She manages the requirements and needs of transnational companies across the technology, automotive, industrial and pharmaceutical sectors.

Mr. de Zavala brings a global background with over 11 years of experience in the Americas, 12 years in Europe and seven years in the Asia Pacific region. His career has been mainly focused on the human resources industry. As a partner at Zavala Civitas, Mr. de Zavala launched the firm’s office in both Shanghai and Barcelona. Before that, he founded IntuuChina, a placement agency in China.

Mr. Treviño has over 20 years of international experience working at human resource companies gathering extensive and valuable expertise in senior management positions. He acquired deep market insights focused on organizational efficiencies, career development and talent in fields related to human resources, such as temporary work, recruitment, training and human resources consultancy, and assessment.

Ms. Jado brings almost 10 years of executive search experience with proven results in client management. She has spent eight years at Zavala Civitas, where she led the Mexico City office, building strong client relationships throughout Latin America. Ms. Jado is highly recognized in the Mexican and Spanish markets as a reliable recruitment partner.

Ms. Camargo has over 13 years of experience in executive search and management consulting with a record based on commitment, ethics and excellence in her delivery. She has an in-depth understanding and experience of the executive search process, its challenges and complexities and important knowledge of project management services in Brazil and Latin America.

Growth Mode

With offices across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa, NGS Global boasts a consultant team with expertise and broad networks in a variety of industries and functional areas.

The firm has grown in recent months with the opening of a new office in Chicago. Todd Wesson joined the firm to lead the new office as managing partner. Mr. Wesson has over 20 years of executive search experience and maintains a wealth of talent acquisition knowledge from having personally executed and completed over 300 assignments for leadership roles within the technology industry for Fortune 500, privately held and equity-backed companies.

In addition, the firm recently added Chris Pearce, a former member of the Australian House of Representatives, as managing partner with its Oceania team in Melbourne, Australia. Since retiring from Parliament and returning to the corporate world, Mr. Pearce has held senior executive roles within the telecommunications and ICT sector and served on commercial, government and not-for-profit boards.

The firm also opened an office in London and named Steve Lavelle as managing partner to head the office. Mr. Lavelle is an experienced European executive search professional with more than 25 years recruiting executive leaders predominantly in the technology sector. He previously founded Lavelle Executive Search.
